• Define the facility purpose and performance requirements (lanes, depth, warm-up/warm down space, timing, seating, dryland, storage)
• Translate training needs into smart design choices that reduce coast without sacrificing performance
• Build a schedule model that protects team training while adding complementary programs (learn to swim, masters, fitness & rehab) to stabilize revenue
• Plan staffing and operating systems so the facility runs consistently without the head coach doing all of the work
• Avoid common pitfalls that derail projects: over building, under-programming, and unrealist operating assumptions
• Communicate the "why" to decision-makers with a clear community and financial case (not just "we need more lanes")

You'll leave the workshop with a clearer roadmap of what to build and what programming options are available in addition to the swim team. Also how to position the project so parent boards, partners and funders can say yes.
